On Thursday, April 17^th Homicide Detectives made an arrest in the below listed case. Arrested was one Cornie Jones (BM, 9/6/88), with a last known address of 8415 Colapissa Street. (Photo Attached)  Jones was booked with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

On Friday, April 11, 2008 at approximately 10:55pm, Second District units responded to a 34S (Shooting) at the intersection of Spruce and Cambronne St.

 

Upon arrival, the officers observed the victim on the scene with a gunshot wound to the left thigh, and was then transported to University Hospital by EMS.  The other two victims had been transported to Ochsner Hospital.  One had a gunshot wound to the face and the second had numerous gunshot wounds to the body and was in critical condition.  It was learned from one of the victims that the passenger of an unknown brown Jeep pulled up to them on the corner and opened fire for no reason. One of the victims died two days later at Ochsner Hospital.
